How Do You Relax?
Interviews With Christian Artists

Graham Kendrick

Playing on my guitar and songwriting. Others are skiing & snorkelling - I find these activities really relaxing as they are engaging and make you focused. However, I don’t get to do those often as I live in Croydon!

Nik and Emma Pears

Emma and I are keen sports fans. We are both obsessed with skiing and go whenever possible. I play rugby, for a team called Old Dunstonians who almost made it to the Powergen Vase Final at Twickenham last season. We also enjoy travelling, going to gigs and eating out with friends!

Tim Hughes

For me I'm most relaxed when I'm hanging out with my wife and close friends. You can't beat a great meal, inspired conversation and good friends. That's when I'm happiest and most relaxed.

Kathryn Scott

My very favourite thing to do to relax is going out for a meal with my husband.

Claudette

A nice relaxing candlelit bath; worship CD on, with at least five minutes bath-time child-free! Seriously, nothing relaxes me more than worship; basking in His Presence causes all other circumstances, stresses of life to fade away in comparison to His power and grace.

Jamie Hill

There's nothing better than chilling out and playing some PS2 - Im a big Worms fan! Also love hanging out with friends and playing pool - we have the greatest pool place in Cheltenham- the only problem is I obviously didn't have a misspent youth cos I’m not very good at it! Hit and hope is my speciality!

Fernando Ortega

We have about one acre of hillside behind our house and all kinds of wildlife - deer, coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, hawks and other critters. My wife and I have started to landscape the hill with all sorts of native and succulent plants - cactus, agaves, and opuntias. For me - that is the most relaxing thing. I love digging in the ground and watching things grow. I even enjoy pulling weeds. If I get bored with that, I love to walk along the beach near our house. The sound of the waves is very soothing and calming.

Paul Field

Cook, walk (especially around Dartmoor) and play golf (very badly).

Nicki Rogers

Well, I am awful at relaxing really! I am lazy but not relaxed! I tend to watch films and when I am around home long enough I go to the gym. I love reading as well and find that it really helps to switch off from concerns and pressure.

Esther Alexander

One of my favourite ways to relax is to go for a long walks usually in gorgeous countryside. Failing that then escaping into a good book is just as effective.
