We caught up with
Steve on their recent
tour with Andy Hunter
and Dweeb
1) How do you like to
spend time relaxing?
We like to spend time relaxing in
many different ways, but our favourite
activities are sleeping, eating, playing
and watching football, going to the
gym and going out for cream teas
with our family and friends.
2) Who has been the biggest
inspiration in your lives?
There is only one answer to this
question and that is God. Our songs
ref lect what God is saying to each of
us each day. It is important that we
present good quality and relevant
music. Our mission is to worship God
and that is hopefully ref lected in our
music. There are many people who
influenced and helped us through our
lives in lots of different ways.
3) What is your favourite Bible verse?
We have many favourite Bible verses,
which mean something to each of
us, but three stand out in particular
and these are The Lord’s Prayer,
verses from the book of Philippians
and Isaiah 35.
4) What is your favourite
Christian album?
We have a wide-ranging taste in
music, but two albums, which we
particularly like at the moment, are
The Mission Bell by Delirious? and
Nothing Is Sound by Switchfoot.
Another of our favourite bands is
Worship Circus.
5) What has been your favourite
thing about this tour and do you
enjoy touring?
We do enjoy touring and visiting new
places. There have been many high
points about the tour, which we have
just done. It has been really good to
work with Andy Hunter and Dweeb,
who are all a good laugh and share in
their vision and faith. It is good for us
to be obedient to God and present
what God is saying to us. One of the
best things for us as a band is to see
lives being changed as we play and
people making life-changing
decisions. The funniest thing about
the tour was Joe from Dweeb falling
off the stage on the first night!!
6) What is your biggest hope
for your music?
Probably our biggest hope for our
music is that it will impact on
people’s lives and bring much
enjoyment to the people who listen
to it. Our aim is to get the message of
the Good News of Jesus out to as
many people as possible and bring
people closer to God through our
music. We hope to inspire, encourage
and empower people through music.
7) What projects do you hope to get
involved in the future?
We are going to be very busy working
on a new album in the future.
8) Do you listen to secular music and
if so, what kind?
We do listen to secular music and
have taken inspiration from some
ar tists. We have many different
favourite bands and these include
Radiohead, Coldplay and Red Hot
Chilli Peppers.
9) What is the best present you’ve
ever received?
As a band we all enjoy receiving
presents and the best presents we
have ever received are a tub of special
handwash, a spaceship, transformer
and a Lego pirate ship.
